- Voluntary Participation: Participation in this program is voluntary and intended to provide interim assistance to households potentially affected by emerging contaminants, including PFAS and manganese.
- No Warranty or Guarantee: The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) and Resource Concepts, Inc. (RCI) make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or guarantee of water quality.
- Limitation of Liability: NDEP and RCI shall not be held liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, or health effects, whether direct or indirect, arising from or related to the installation, use, maintenance, performance, or failure of any filter, device, or materials provided under this program.
- User Responsibility: Participants are responsible for properly installing, using, and maintaining the provided filter in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and program guidance. NDEP and RCI are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, use, or neglect.
- Interim Nature of Program: The household water filter is an interim measure to reduce exposure to specific contaminants and does not replace permanent community treatment solutions or guarantee compliance with state or federal drinking water standards.
- Program Changes: NDEP reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time without notice, based on funding availability, regulatory changes, or other considerations.
